Davido Says He Has No Presidential Candidate for 2027, Rejects APC Support

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, has said he does not have a favorite presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections. He also made it clear that he will not support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In an interview with News Central TV on Tuesday, Davido talked about his political plans for the upcoming presidential election in 2027. He was asked if he would get involved in politics again.

When asked about his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, who supports President Bola Tinubu, Davido said his own political beliefs are separate.

"My uncle, immediately he won, came out to declare his support for Tinubu, but for me, I'm not propelled to support anybody. I personally haven't seen anybody," he explained.

Davido reflected on his past political activities. He mentioned that he had supported different political figures before, but right now, he is not committed.

"In the past, yes, I've supported Atiku before when we were in PDP, and I supported in 2015 when APC first did the merger; my late uncle Isiaka Adeleke (Serubawon) was part of the APC, I campaigned then," he said.

He also pointed out that his political choice for 2027 is still open, but he will not back the ruling party.

"Right now I don't have a presidential candidate. It might change, but it's not going to be APC. Everybody should have their choice," Davido added.

His comments come at a time when many are paying attention to his role during the Osun State election. He actively encouraged voters and pushed for fair election outcomes.
