Delta Speaker Urges Support for Tinubu and Oborevwori

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Emomotimi Guwor, the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, is calling on the people of Oporoza community and all of Gbaramatu Kingdom to keep supporting President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Guwor made this appeal during the opening of a modern market in Oporoza, which is the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

While speaking outside the official speech given on behalf of the Governor, Guwor said, “President Tinubu and Oborevwori administrations have demonstrated commitment to the development and wellbeing of the people of the Niger Delta. We should reciprocate the gesture through continued political support.”

He urged the people to “vote for President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 elections.”

Guwor added, “I am speaking as a son of the soil. Unequivocally, we will speak very loud. Not even one vote from Gbaramatu Kingdom will go to any other person. Mr. President, Bola Tinubu, has been so gracious to our people.”

He pointed out that the economic opportunities created in the Niger Delta are helping many residents, especially through companies and initiatives in the area. “You hardly can find any man or woman that is not benefiting in one way or the other from Tantita or Maton,” he said.

The Speaker also mentioned that the new market will boost business activities, create chances for traders, and help improve the local economy. This, he said, will contribute to the overall growth of Oporoza and nearby communities.

While stressing that the launch of the market is part of efforts to improve infrastructure and economic activities in Oporoza, the Speaker promised that the government will continue to pay attention to the developmental needs of the people.

He recognized the role of traditional rulers and community leaders in guiding the political choices in the kingdom. Guwor expressed faith that their influence would lead the people to support the APC.

“When our chiefs say that this is the direction, and I already know the direction of our chiefs. That direction is to vote for Mr. President, to vote for all APC candidates, including our governor,” he said.
