The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested Nuhu Dahiru. He is accused of pretending to be an EFCC officer and tricking people out of N3 million.

The EFCC shared this news on its official X handle on Monday. They said that Dahiru was caught by their team in Maiduguri.

According to the EFCC, they arrested him in Tashan Bama, on Bama Road, Maiduguri, Borno State. They acted on reliable information that he had been posing as an EFCC officer to scam innocent people.

The commission claims Dahiru took N3 million from people through his lies. They also said they recovered the full N3 million from him during the arrest.

"The suspect was arrested in Tashan Bama, along Bama Road, Maiduguri, Borno State, following credible intelligence indicating that he had been parading himself as an officer of the EFCC, and thereby defrauding unsuspecting members of the public," the EFCC stated.

The EFCC mentioned that Dahiru will face charges in court once they finish their investigations.
