The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a man named Nuhu Dahiru. He is accused of pretending to be an EFCC officer and stealing N3 million from people.

The EFCC shared this news in a statement from its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, on Monday.

According to the statement, Dahiru was caught by EFCC operatives in Maiduguri, Borno State. They arrested him in Tashan Bama, along Bama Road.

The commission said they acted on reliable information that Dahiru was posing as an EFCC officer. He used this fake identity to cheat people out of their money.

The EFCC also mentioned that they recovered N3 million from Dahiru when they arrested him.

They said that after finishing their investigations, Dahiru would be taken to court.
