The Ogun State Police Command has started looking into the deaths of Kitan Oyesiku, a former broadcaster with Ogun State Television, and her security guard. They were found dead at Oyesiku's home in Iyana Agodo Village, Owode-Egba area of Ogun State.

The police confirmed the situation in a statement from their Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, on Sunday.

A resident noticed strange movements around Oyesiku's house and raised the alarm on Sunday. This alert led police officers to visit the scene.

Babaseyi reported that initial investigations showed signs of forced entry and disturbance in the house. The security guard's body was found first at his post, while Oyesiku's body was later discovered inside her apartment.

He also mentioned that Oyesiku's car was missing from the compound, which raised more concerns about foul play. Babaseyi stated, "Police detectives were immediately deployed to the scene, where preliminary assessment revealed signs of forced entry and disturbance."

"During a thorough search of the premises, the corpse of the security guard was discovered within the security post, while the body of Ms Oyesiku was later found inside her apartment. The victim’s vehicle was also observed missing from the premises."

The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has ordered a complete investigation into the situation. Detectives are working hard to find those responsible for the crime.

Babaseyi noted that police have expanded their operations and surveillance to key areas to help uncover the details surrounding the deaths and locate the stolen vehicle.

He also shared his condolences with the families of the deceased, the management of OGTV, and the media community, calling the incident tragic.

The police urged residents to stay calm and share any helpful information that could aid in the ongoing investigations.
