Iheanacho scores again as Bursaspor draws with Antalyaspor

Kelechi Iheanacho scored for Bursaspor in a 1-1 draw against Antalyaspor. His performance continues to impress as he maintains his scoring form in Turkey.

Kelechi Iheanacho was back to scoring as Bursaspor played a 1-1 draw against Antalyaspor at Antalya Stadium on Friday night in the TFF 1. Lig.

The Nigerian forward scored first in the 26th minute. He put the Green-and-Whites ahead with a great finish after Amine Boutrah set him up.

Iheanacho had almost scored earlier in the match. His first shot hit the side post as Bursaspor tried to take charge of the game.

He kept troubling the Antalyaspor defense and nearly added another goal just six minutes after his first. Boutrah assisted again, but Iheanacho could not hit the target.

Bursaspor's lead did not last long. Antalyaspor equalized just before halftime thanks to Toral Bayramov, whose own goal surprised goalkeeper Kerem Matışlı and brought the hosts back into the game.

In the second half, Iheanacho thought he had scored again to put Bursaspor ahead. He made another great finish, but it was ruled offside because of a foul in the build-up.

The former Manchester City and Sevilla player could not find the net again, and both teams settled for a draw.

Even though Bursaspor did not win, Iheanacho's goal is a boost for him. He scored after his incredible streak ended in Bursaspor’s 3-0 win over Bandırmaspor last weekend.

Before that match, the 30-year-old had scored 16 times in 12 games straight, setting a new record in Turkish football with his amazing scoring.

His 17th goal shows how well he has been playing since moving to Turkey. The Super Eagles forward has quickly become one of Bursaspor’s key attacking players.

After ending his record run last weekend, Iheanacho will be happy to be back on the scoresheet. He hopes to start another great scoring period as Bursaspor continues its season.
