Osun Police Want Factional NURTW Leader for Murder Case
The Osun State Police have declared NURTW leader Nurudeen Alowonle wanted for murder. Six suspects have been arrested in the ongoing investigation.

The Osun State Police Commissioner, Ibrahim Zungura, has declared Nurudeen Alowonle, the factional Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Osun State, wanted for the murder of Olalekan Oyeyemi, also known as Emir.
Zungura made this announcement on Monday while showing suspects arrested for different crimes at the police headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital.
He mentioned that six people, including Alowonle’s Personal Assistant and an Amotekun Corps officer, have been arrested in connection with the murder of Emir on September 13 at a motor park in Ile-Ife.
The Commissioner said that they are also trying to catch another NURTW leader, Ojo Adeyemi, who is wanted for the same murder.
He added that confessions from the suspects revealed that Alowonle was behind the killing. The people already in police custody for Emir’s murder include Tijani Ismail, Akinsola Ekundayo, Sijuade Moruf, Ayeni Adegbola, Hammed Dada, and Waliyu Adejare.

The investigation into Emir’s murder led to the arrest of Hammed Olalekan Dauda, also known as Jagaban. He was allegedly involved in the crime and was found with a cut-to-size firearm.
"During questioning, he reportedly confessed that Nurudeen Alowonle gave him the firearm. Further investigations led to the arrest of Waliu Adejare, aka Jay Jay, who is Alowonle’s personal assistant. All suspects were mobilized by Nurudeen Alowonle and Adeyemi Ojo, aka Sibi," Zungura said.
Zungura emphasized, "Alowonle is declared wanted. The Command is increasing efforts to catch Nurudeen Alowonle, Adeyemi Ojo, aka Sibi, and other suspects who are still on the run and are believed to have taken part in this terrible crime."
