A former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, has received a Certificate of Return from the Peoples Democratic Party. This certificate confirms his role as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 Gombe State governorship election.
Pantami was named the PDP candidate on May 26. He got the certificate on Wednesday at the party’s National Executive Committee meeting. This meeting also saw the inauguration of the 2026, 2030 National Executive Committee at the PDP national headquarters in Abuja.
A statement from the Pantami Media Team said the event was led by the PDP National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed.
The statement mentioned that the party used the occasion to hand out Certificates of Return to governorship candidates. These candidates had their nominations recognized and published by the Independent National Electoral Commission as the PDP’s official candidates for the 2027 general elections.
It also said that Pantami was among those who received certificates. This shows he is the party’s officially recognized governorship candidate in Gombe State.
“The PDP presented Certificates of Return to its governorship candidates for the 2027 elections whose names have been recognised and published by INEC as the party’s duly nominated candidates,” the statement said.
