Police Find Car Stolen from Kano Church After Three Days
Police have recovered a Hyundai car stolen from St Thomas Church in Kano. The vehicle was returned to its owner after a thorough investigation.

Police have found a Hyundai car that was stolen from a church in Kano. They returned the vehicle to its owner.
The car, a gold Hyundai with registration number LAGOS AA 444 BL, was taken on October 25. The owner, Mr Uchenna Emmanuel, was at St Thomas Church on Airport Road when the theft happened.
CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the Police Public Relations Officer, shared this news in a statement on Wednesday. He said the car was recovered three days after it was stolen.
Kiyawa explained that Emmanuel, who lives in Sabon Gari Quarters, parked the car at the church around 11am. He noticed it was missing when he returned after the service.
Following this report, the Special Intervention Squad started searching for the vehicle based on intelligence, acting on orders from Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori.
“On October 26, we found the car parked at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, but we could not identify who parked it there,” Kiyawa said.

The police set up an ambush to catch the person who left the car, but no one came forward to claim it. Kiyawa added that the vehicle was finally recovered on October 28 and brought to the squad’s office for further investigation before giving it back to Emmanuel.
Emmanuel thanked the police for their quick and professional work in getting his car back.
He also advised drivers to take safety measures when parking in public areas like churches, markets, and hospitals.
The Commissioner of Police recommended that vehicle owners install security devices such as trackers and pedal or steering locks. He reminded everyone to make sure their cars are properly locked and secure.
The police are still working to catch the suspects who stole the car and are continuing their investigation.
