The Delta State Police have found a locally made gun left behind by two suspected robbers in Effurun. This happened while officers arrested a man suspected of selling drugs in Agbor.

SP Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer, shared this news in a statement on Tuesday.

The robbery took place at about 5:30am on September 4, 2026. Two masked men with a locally made shotgun broke into a home belonging to a 48-year-old man in the Charlisco area, along the NPA Express Road in Effurun.

The police said the victim confronted one of the robbers. He “wrestled with the suspect carrying the firearm,” which caused the gun to break.

The statement continued, “The second suspect struck the victim on the forehead before both suspects fled, abandoning the firearm.”
