Police on the hunt for two men over murder in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command is looking for two men linked to the murder of a woman in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The police named the suspects as 32-year-old Folawiyo Alagbado and 33-year-old Ajibola Obateru. Both men are believed to have lived in Ibadan, Oyo State, according to the police.

This information was shared in posts on the police command’s X handle on Wednesday.

The bulletins state that the suspects worked with others to attack the victim. They allegedly killed her and took her body along with her personal belongings.

The attack happened in the Ikoyi area of Lagos. The bulletin about Alagbado said, "The suspect conspired with others to attack the victim, allegedly killed her and made away with her body to an unknown location.

"The victim’s belongings were also stolen by the fleeing suspect and his cohorts.

"DESCRIPTION: Tribe: Yoruba, Age: 32, Height: Average, Face: Oval, Nose: Wide, Mouth: Long Wide, Lips: Medium, Eyes Colour: White, Complexion: Dark Colour, Chin: Round, Hair: Normal, Forehead: Smooth, Dress: Decent. Last Known Address: Ibadan, Oyo State."

For Obateru, the police gave this description: "Tribe: Yoruba, Age: 33, Height: 5.9ft, Build: Thin, Face: Oval, Nose: Long, Mouth: Small, Lips: Thin, Eyes Colour: Black, Complexion: Fair, Chin: Pointed, Hair: Black Thick, Head: High, Forehead: High, Habits and Mannerisms: Appear Gentle, Dress: Decent. Last Known Address: Ibadan, Oyo State."

The police are asking anyone who knows where these suspects are to report to the nearest police station. They can also go to the Office of the Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Musiliu Smith Street, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.

The police also provided a contact number, 08038843816, for tips that could help catch the suspects.

They warned the public not to confront the suspects directly but to inform the police instead.
