The Ogun State Police Command is looking for a man named Kola. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babasiyi, shared this news in a statement on Wednesday.
Babasiyi said the boy and his parents reported the case at the Adigbe Police Division on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, around 5pm.
The teenager claimed that Kola assaulted him three times in January 2026 and threatened him to keep quiet about it.
He said, “After the report, the boy was taken to a hospital in the Adigbe area for a medical check-up, while detectives started their investigation.”
Babasiyi mentioned that the police only learned about the incidents when the report was made on September 8. He added that Kola is still on the run.
He further stated, “Kola is currently at large, and CP Bode Ojajuni has told detectives to step up efforts to find and arrest him immediately.”
The PPRO said the police are treating this case seriously and with care, assuring the public that they are dedicated to protecting children and other vulnerable people.
He continued, “The allegation is getting urgent and professional attention. We are committed to safeguarding children and those who need protection.”
The command also asked anyone with information that could help the investigation to share it with the police.
