Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has promised President Bola Tinubu that the state will support his re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
Radda made this promise on Saturday at the People’s Square in Katsina. He was there for the launch and inauguration of the Katsina State structure of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement. This campaign group is working to gather grassroots support for Tinubu.
The governor stated that Katsina is a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress. He noted that the party has a united structure across all 34 Local Government Areas in the state.
"Katsina State is an APC state. Every elected person in Katsina State is a member of the All Progressives Congress. I want to assure you that Katsina State has a special attachment to President Bola Tinubu," Radda said.
He encouraged residents to back the Tinubu administration. He explained that the government's economic reforms have improved resources for state governments. These changes have also given local governments more financial independence.
"President Bola Tinubu came with a lot of reforms which have enabled state governors to do a lot of good work for the people of our states. We should remain ever grateful to President Bola Tinubu.
"President Bola Tinubu, I want you to be rest assured that Katsina State is your state and will not let you down. We will support you, our people will support you, Insha Allah," he added.
High Chief Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi spoke on behalf of the movement’s founder, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo. He urged members to take the campaign to wards, communities, markets, and homes.
The Katsina APC Chairman, Dr Bishir Gambo Saulawa, called the party a united family. He asked for cooperation between the movement and the existing APC structures.
Campaign vehicles were also given to coordinators in all 34 LGAs.
