Senator Fadeyi Supports Adeleke for Another Term

The senator for Osun Central Senatorial District, Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, has expressed his support for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s reelection in the upcoming governorship election. He believes Adeleke has laid a strong foundation for development in Osun State.

Fadeyi, who recently switched back to the People’s Democratic Party from the All Progressives Congress, shared his thoughts during a phone interview with our reporter on Tuesday.

In a statement he signed and sent to The PUNCH, Fadeyi praised Adeleke’s leadership. He mentioned that his support reflects the trust that PDP members and people from Osun Central have in the governor’s ability and his dedication to the state’s progress.

Fadeyi, who is also the PDP Senatorial Candidate for Osun Central in the 2027 elections, said during the interview, "This endorsement is a reaffirmation of our confidence in the Governor’s leadership and his commitment to the development and wellbeing of the people of Osun State."

He noted, "The journey over the past years has been remarkable. Governor Adeleke has shown that leadership is truly about service, impact, and putting the interests of the people first."

Fadeyi highlighted the significant improvements in infrastructure and other important areas across Osun State. He also pointed out the increased focus on the welfare of workers and pensioners, including timely payment of salaries and pensions.

He mentioned that while the government has achieved notable successes, there are still many opportunities to explore for the benefit of the people.

"These achievements deserve recognition, but more importantly, they show that there is still great potential to be unlocked. There is much more work to be done, and we believe Governor Adeleke deserves the chance to build on the successes already achieved and take Osun to even greater heights."
