Vice President Kashim Shettima came to Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, on Thursday to launch the new 33.5-kilometre Elele/Egbeda/Omoku dual carriageway.
When he landed at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, former deputy governor Tele Ikuru, John Mbata, Oris Onyiri, Sam Sam Jaja, and other top officials welcomed him.
Dagogo Wokoma, the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, mentioned that the project shows Governor Fubara’s commitment to meeting the needs of the state’s people.
Wokoma added that this dual carriageway is one of the key road projects completed by the Fubara administration. It aims to improve road connections and boost economic activities in the state.
