Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Thursday to open the newly reconstructed 33.5-kilometre Elele/Egbeda/Omoku dual carriageway.

When he landed at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Governor Siminalayi Fubara and other top officials welcomed him. They included former deputy governor Tele Ikuru, John Mbata, Oris Onyiri, Sam Sam Jaja, and many others.

Dagogo Wokoma, Secretary to the Rivers State Government, said the project shows Governor Fubara’s commitment to meeting the needs of the state's people.

Wokoma added that this dual carriageway is one of the key road projects completed by the Fubara administration. It aims to improve connections and boost economic activities in the state.
