Solewant Group to Launch New Paints Manufacturing Plant on 31 July

Port Harcourt, Nigeria | July 2026, Solewant Group is set to officially open its SSPC & Paints Manufacturing Plant on Friday, 31 July, 2026. The event will take place at Solewant Industrial Park in Alode-Eleme-Onne, Rivers State. This marks an important step in the company’s ongoing investment in local manufacturing and Nigeria’s industrial development.

The new facility aims to boost local production of decorative and protective coatings for homes, businesses, industries, marine, and offshore infrastructure. It also supports efforts to enhance local content participation in key areas of the oil and gas sector.

The commissioning event will bring together government officials, industry leaders, oil and gas executives, business figures, development partners, diplomats, and media representatives from across Nigeria.

This manufacturing plant is a key project under Solewant Group’s Roadmap Plus strategy. It shows the company’s long-term commitment to increasing industrial capacity in Nigeria. The plant is designed to produce decorative, industrial, marine, and offshore protective coatings and paints that meet international standards. This aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s call for more local manufacturing.

Mr Aganren mentioned that the plant will produce a wide range of decorative and protective coatings designed for steel pipes, metals, concrete, and wood surfaces. These will be used in oil, gas, refineries, petrochemicals, marine, and residential buildings.

Guests at the commissioning will have the chance to see the facility up close. This includes its manufacturing operations, research and quality assurance labs, and product development capabilities.
