Ifeanyi Ogbonna, known as Odogwu Asaba, faces charges of rape and manslaughter in the death of Favour Agbro. The trial includes witness testimonies and video evidence.

The prosecution on Wednesday brought five witnesses and video evidence in the trial of Ifeanyi Ogbonna, known as Odogwu Asaba. He faces charges of rape and manslaughter linked to the death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro.
The witnesses included Agbro's twin sister, brother, and father. Also, there was the doctor who did the post-mortem and a police officer who investigated the case. The Delta State High Court in Asaba is hearing the case.
The defence lawyer asked for more time to review the statements of the prosecution witnesses and the new evidence shared with them.
After the court session, the prosecution said they were ready to continue with the case. They also recognized that the defence needed enough time to check the materials presented.
The prosecution team was led by Omamuzo Erebe, the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Delta State Ministry of Justice. He worked alongside Tejiri Anuhwin, the Director of Public Prosecutions, and other state lawyers.

Ogbonna pleaded not guilty to the charges on October 21, 2026, in front of Justice Michael Nduka Obi. The case involves Agbro's death, which happened in June 2026.
The court has postponed the case until November 19, 2026. At that time, the prosecution is expected to continue with its witnesses and evidence.
Remember that the court had kept the content creator at the Ogwashi-Uku Maximum Correctional Centre after his arrest. This happened after he was accused of raping Agbro, who later died from taking a toxic substance.
