Ten people have been arrested for the murder of Alhaji Garus Gololo, the chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Benue State. The police said the suspects were caught during a well-planned operation in the state.
Police spokesperson, DSP Catherine Anene, said the suspects were picked up in different areas across the state. She added that the investigation into the murder is still ongoing. Efforts are being made to catch more suspects who might be linked to the crime.
Alhaji Gololo was reportedly killed on October 1, 2023, in the Makurdi area of Benue State. His death has caused anger among association members and the wider community. They are demanding justice and a thorough investigation into what happened.
The police have asked anyone with information about the case to come forward. They also assured the public that steps are being taken to keep citizens safe after the incident.
