Tompolo backs Tinubu for another term, donates 30 vehicles for campaign
Tompolo endorses President Tinubu's re-election, donating 30 vehicles to support his campaign in Imo State. He praises Tinubu's commitment to Nigeria.

Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, Government Ekpemupolo, known as Tompolo, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s re-election. He believes the president means well for Nigeria and deserves another four years to continue his reforms.
Tompolo spoke on Tuesday during the launch of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Imo State. He donated 30 vehicles to help with grassroots mobilization for Mr Tinubu’s re-election.
Tompolo was represented by Kestin Pondi, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited. He mentioned that the vehicles and other support would help Governor Hope Uzodimma and the movement’s campaign efforts across the state.
He called President Tinubu a brave leader who prioritizes Nigeria’s needs. Tompolo noted that the president started making economic reforms right after he took office in May 2023.
“Our president, President Bola Tinubu, is a very courageous man; a man who puts Nigeria first; a man who loves Nigeria more than he loves himself; a man who loves Nigeria more than the office that he is vying for.
“When he came into office, he did not do the normal calculations that politicians usually do. He came in and said that he wants to reform Nigeria,” Tompolo said.
Passing on Tompolo’s message, Mr Pondi stated, “Your Excellency, we have come with vehicles. We have come with resources. These vehicles you have seen, there are 30 of them. We brought them to Imo State to support you in your cause to re-elect President Bola Tinubu.”
He added that the movement would collaborate with the governor and other political leaders to spread the president’s campaign to homes and communities across the state.
Mr Pondi also mentioned that the newly formed chapter would be ready to assist with campaign activities whenever needed. “Your Excellency, the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Imo State is at your beck and call. Anytime you need them, call them. Give them instructions. Tell them how you want them to campaign,” he said.
During the event, Governor Uzodimma praised Tompolo for providing resources to support the campaign. He described the movement as a key partner in the push for the president’s second term.
Uzodimma, who is the secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, said his evaluation of Tinubu’s administration made him believe the president should be given another term to finish his projects.
“When we preach the Gospel about the All Progressives Congress government of President Bola Tinubu, we started, we were not many. But as the days go by, the efforts and activities of the government begin to trickle in. Nigerians begin to see the man called Bola Tinubu in his true colours,” he said.
He acknowledged that while the administration has made progress, there are still tasks to complete. He added that continuity would help President Tinubu finish his work.

“We have assessed the achievements of President Bola Tinubu, and we have seen the good things he brought. We have also seen so many things he is also yet to do.
“And we decided to lead the crusade that will enable him to complete his good work. We have taken that decision,” Mr Uzodimma said.
He called Tompolo a man whose support has helped move the campaign forward. Uzodimma also praised the door-to-door approach, saying it would help campaigners share the successes of the Renewed Hope Agenda directly with Nigerians.
“We are partners in progress. We work with you. We do the work. We elect the president,” he said.
Earlier, Sunday Asuku, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, urged Nigerians to be patient with the administration. He argued that the economic challenges from its reforms would lead to long-term benefits.
Mr Asuku stated that President Tinubu had laid a foundation for economic growth over the last three and a half years and should be given four more years to build on it.
“The message we must tell today is simple and short. Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has sent us to make you understand that things might be rough, but Nigeria is on the right trajectory,” he said.
He insisted that economic reforms often bring short-term pain but are necessary for lasting prosperity. “Where there is reform, we are expected to go through some pains. But it is a pain that guarantees long-term prosperity, and we can get through for sure,” Mr Asuku said.
He also challenged opposition politicians to share their records in public office. He urged Nigerians to look at their past performances before making election choices.
He called on voters to turn out in large numbers on 16 January 2027 to vote for President Tinubu, saying the movement would deliver its message from door to door, town to town, and community to community.
In his comments, Imo State APC Chairman, Austine Onyedebelu, pointed out the federal government’s economic reforms and the state’s infrastructure projects. He encouraged party members to take the campaign directly to the people.
He mentioned the removal of the petrol subsidy, foreign exchange reforms, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, and the rise in national minimum wage to N70,000 as measures introduced by the Tinubu administration.
