Two people have died in a road accident on the Kano-Zaria Road. The crash involved a tipper truck and a Mercedes-Benz, caused by brake failure.

The Federal Road Safety Corps in Kano has confirmed that two people died in a serious road accident. This crash involved two vehicles on the Kano-Zaria Road at Dangi Underpass.
The Public Relations Officer for the Sector Command, Abdullahi Labaran, shared the details in a statement on Tuesday night.
The statement said the accident took place at 5:50 PM. It involved a Howo tipper truck fully loaded with bitumen and a Mercedes-Benz C180. A total of four male adults were part of the crash, with two confirmed dead.
"Preliminary reports indicate that the crash involved a Howo tipper truck with registration number RMG 332 XA, loaded with bitumen, and a Mercedes-Benz C180 with registration number ABJ 783 GB. A total of four male adults were involved, and two have been confirmed dead," the statement said.
The report mentioned that the accident happened because of brake failure in the loaded tipper truck, which led to a loss of control. The truck then slid backward and hit the vehicle behind it, causing the deadly crash.
According to the statement, FRSC rescue workers and other emergency responders took the victims to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital for treatment.
