Voter with Disability Thanks Officials for Support During Election

A voter with a disability, Aminat Akinsola, has praised election officials at her polling unit in Ejigbo, Osun State. She said they made voting easier for her during the governorship election on Saturday.

Akinsola voted at Polling Unit 6, Ward 4. She noted that the officials considered her condition during the accreditation and voting process. This arrangement helped her take part in the election without the stress of waiting in line with other voters, as reported by Tribune.

“I’m so happy because I was treated with respect while I was trying to cast my vote. I was even the first person to be accredited,” Akinsola said.

She also shared her happiness with how the election was managed at the polling unit. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy for voters to come and cast their votes.

Akinsola said she hoped the final outcome would reflect the choice of the people in the state.

Security personnel were present around the polling unit to keep order and ensure that voting went smoothly. The security team also helped manage the movement of voters as the process continued.

In another arrangement at the polling unit, young voters were grouped by gender. This was part of efforts to manage the crowd and prevent any disorder.

This development happened as voters across the state came out to choose the next governor of Osun State.
