Woman found dead with missing hand in Osogbo church

A woman has been found dead inside a church in the Obelewo area of Osogbo, Osun State. Her left wrist was cut off, according to reports.

The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, Ani Iniedu, shared this information on Sunday. Police detectives went to the scene after the body was discovered.

Preliminary investigations showed that the woman was allegedly murdered. Her left wrist was taken away by unknown people.

Iniedu said, “The investigations revealed that the deceased was slaughtered and her left wrist severed and taken away by unknown persons.”

He mentioned that the police are still trying to find out how the woman died and why she was killed. They are working to identify her and understand the circumstances of her death.

The body was taken to the hospital for further examination. “The corpse was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy,” he added.

Iniedu also said that the State Command Investigation Department has started looking into the case.
