There was celebration on Saturday as Ademola Adeleke, the Accord Party governorship candidate and Osun State Governor, won his polling unit in the ongoing governorship election.

Adeleke received 421 votes at Ward 02, Polling Unit 009, Abogunde Compound, Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State.

His supporters were seen celebrating after the results were announced at the polling unit.

PUNCH Online earlier reported that three major candidates in the Osun governorship election were confident about winning as the polls moved to the sorting and collation stage. Each candidate and their supporters were hopeful about getting the people's mandate.

On Saturday, Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party shared his optimism about winning the ongoing governorship election. He made this statement after casting his vote at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North Local Government Area.
