Former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has lost at his polling unit in Saturday's governorship election. The Accord Party won in his area.

Oyinlola recently switched his support from Governor Ademola Adeleke. Adeleke is looking for a second term under the Accord Party. Oyinlola has now backed the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

Oyinlola, who is a retired military general, cast his vote at Polling Unit 003, Ward 01, Court Hall 1, Okuku. This is in the Odo-Otin Local Government Area during Saturday's election.

After counting the votes, the Accord Party candidate and the current governor, Ademola Adeleke, received 125 votes. The APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, got 84 votes.
