Governor Abiodun Orders Quick Fix of Saje-Elega-Adedotun Road

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has ordered the immediate repair of the Saje-Elega-Adedotun Road in Abeokuta South Local Government Area. Construction is set to start next week.

The governor announced this on Tuesday during a meeting with ward and local government executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Centenary Hall, Ake, Abeokuta.

Abiodun said the road work is part of his government’s promise to improve infrastructure and give Abeokuta, the state capital, a much-needed upgrade.

Party Unity Efforts

To boost unity in the party, the governor also revealed plans to set up a reconciliation committee. This committee aims to resolve ongoing disagreements and promote harmony among APC members, especially in Abeokuta South.

The committee will be led by the state APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi. It will also include former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni, and Hon. Nurudeen Olaleye.

Abiodun stated the committee will focus on settling internal disputes and building a stronger party at the grassroots level.

He encouraged party members to welcome politicians who have recently joined the APC from other parties. He stressed that being inclusive is key to strengthening the party’s political foundation. He also praised members for their efforts in growing the party.

Commitment to Community Development

On community development, Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to improving living standards in various communities. This will be done by providing essential services like boreholes, electricity transformers, and solar-powered streetlights.

He called on local government chairmen, Community Development Associations (CDAs), traditional rulers, and religious leaders to collaborate with the government. They should identify urgent community needs that require immediate attention.

In another meeting with APC members in Abeokuta North Local Government Area, held at Comprehensive Academy, Abeokuta, the governor thanked party members for their steady support since 2019.

He noted that the APC’s growing strength in Ogun State comes from unity, teamwork, and shared commitment among members.

Abiodun assured party members that his administration would keep prioritizing their welfare. He urged them to strengthen grassroots mobilization and work harder to secure victories for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
