"I welcome you to this briefing on the successful arrest of two suspects connected to the theft and vandalism of railway sleeper clips at Kanwa Village, Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State," he said.
The suspects are Shamsu Isyaku, 25, who lives in Kanwa Village, and Shehu Yakubu, 40, from Kanwa Yamma. Isyaku is believed to be the main suspect, while Yakubu is suspected of buying and receiving the stolen railway materials.

He mentioned that the command has started further investigations to find out more about the incident and to identify others involved in the crime.
"We are also stepping up efforts to recover the remaining 205 missing railway sleeper clips," the commandant added.

Agalama emphasized that his team is dedicated to protecting important national assets and infrastructure. He noted that railway facilities are crucial for national development, transport, and economic growth.
"We will not stop our work to ensure that those involved in vandalism, theft, and illegal trade of public infrastructure materials face justice," he said.
He also warned the public against buying or trading in stolen railway materials. Agalama stressed that anyone caught would face the full weight of the law.
He praised the officers involved in the operation for their alertness and hard work. He encouraged the public to continue supporting the corps by providing reliable and timely information that could help in catching criminals and protecting public infrastructure in their areas.
