Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Zuru Emirate, Kebbi State, have shown their support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris. They announced they are ready to work for their re-election in 2027.

The stakeholders said they back the two leaders because of the governor’s work in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and agriculture. They also noted his efforts to improve the lives of residents.

This statement came on Sunday, just a week after residents of Fakai, Sakaba, Danko/Wasagu, and Zuru local government areas warmly welcomed Idris during his tour of the emirate. They showed strong support for his second-term bid.

The latest endorsement happened at the launch of a palliative distribution program. This program was organized by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Zuru, for residents of Rafin Zuru Ward in Zuru Local Government Area.

Alhaji Muhammad Saleh, a member of the Kebbi State APC Executive Committee, spoke on behalf of the stakeholders. He assured Tinubu and Idris of the emirate’s commitment to their success in the elections.

Saleh said, “The governor’s efforts to address infrastructure deficits through road construction and rehabilitation, alongside investments in schools, healthcare, and agriculture, had strengthened his standing among the people.”

He called these efforts “significant contributions that deserved appreciation.” He added that the people of Zuru Emirate are ready to support the governor in return for his hard work.

Saleh also praised Idris for motivating political appointees and associates, like Sadaukin Zuru, to help vulnerable residents and boost community development.

He mentioned that the governor has gained recognition beyond Kebbi State for his compassion, generosity, integrity, and selflessness.

Zuru Local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Abiola, also spoke. He congratulated Sadaukin Zuru for helping the less privileged and following the governor’s example of generosity.

Abiola called Idris a “General Commander of welfare and generosity.” He urged beneficiaries to use the financial support wisely.

He encouraged those in petty trading to invest the money in their businesses to grow their capital and improve their living conditions.

Sadaukin Zuru expressed gratitude to Governor Idris for the chance to serve and help his community.

He also thanked the Kebbi State Commissioner for Agriculture, Alhaji Shehu Muazu Haruna, for supporting the initiative.

The empowerment program, under the Sadaukin Zuru Empowerment Initiative for the Needy, gave financial aid of between ₦10,000 and ₦20,000 each to over 400 beneficiaries.

These beneficiaries included elderly men and women, youths, and other vulnerable residents. The assistance aimed to help them meet basic needs or increase their business funds.

The event attracted APC stakeholders, supporters of Governor Idris, market women, youth and women’s groups, students, and associates from Kebbi, Niger, Sokoto, and Zamfara states.
