Lee Group to Launch $1.8 Billion Industrial Park in Ogun, Aiming for 29 Factories and 2,500 Jobs
Lee Group is set to launch a $1.8 billion industrial park in Ogun State, creating over 2,500 jobs and hosting 29 factories to enhance local manufacturing.

A $1.8 billion industrial park is being built by Lee Group of Companies Ltd along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State. This park will host over 29 factories and create more than 2,500 jobs, both direct and indirect. It will also help Ogun State become a top industrial hub in Nigeria.
The First Industrial Park spans 450 hectares and is located in Sagamu and Obafemi-Owode local government areas. It will support manufacturing businesses in various sectors, including soap and detergent production, PVC leather, footwear, moulds, food processing, cosmetics, recycling, and export-oriented industries.
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, will lead the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, 12 November 2026. This event marks a key moment in the development of the industrial project.
Notable figures expected at the ceremony include former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Minister of Trade and Investment, industry leaders, traditional rulers, and members of the diplomatic community.
The project is set to attract significant local and foreign investment. It will boost Nigeria’s manufacturing capacity and create job opportunities, enhancing Ogun State’s reputation as a preferred location for industrial growth.
One of the companies involved is Aspira Products Stand, a subsidiary of Lee Group of Companies. It is the largest detergent company by market share in West Africa. Aspira plans to establish its West African regional office in the Lee Group First Industrial Park.
This regional office will increase the park’s commercial importance and make it a hub for manufacturing and distribution across West Africa.
The total development value is projected at $3 billion. This reflects the scale of the industrial ecosystem and its potential benefits to the economy in Ogun State and beyond.
In addition to factories, the industrial park will include administrative offices, residential areas, power and utility stations, banks, shopping malls, showrooms, bonded warehouses, truck and trailer parking, communication facilities, conference centres, and recreational spaces.
These facilities will create a connected industrial space where manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, financial services, and commercial activities can thrive together.
The park’s location along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, near the Sagamu Interchange, will give businesses easy access to major markets and transport networks. This setup will help move raw materials and finished products efficiently across the country.
The project will also boost economic activities in Sagamu, Obafemi-Owode, and nearby communities. It will increase demand for transport, freight services, vehicle maintenance, accommodation, restaurants, fuel stations, and other supporting businesses.
With over 29 factories planned, the developers expect the completed park to generate more than 2,500 direct and indirect jobs. Construction will also provide extra job opportunities. The factories will create jobs for skilled and unskilled workers, young people, and women.

The concentration of factories in one area will open doors for small and medium-sized businesses to supply goods and services to the companies in the park.
The presence of established manufacturers will also promote technology transfer, skill development, and boost local production capacity.
The planned Aspira West African office is crucial for attracting businesses that operate beyond Nigeria. Its presence could support regional distribution and strengthen ties between Nigerian manufacturers and West African markets.
This industrial park is being developed as Ogun State's manufacturing base grows. The area is close to Lagos and major transport routes, with many manufacturing companies already operating in various sectors.
Under Governor Abiodun, Ogun State is pushing for investments in infrastructure and economic factors that attract investors and expand business opportunities.
This new industrial park will support these goals by providing the necessary infrastructure for manufacturing and related activities. It will create an environment for businesses to share resources and be close to suppliers and service providers.
By bringing many manufacturing operations and support services together, the park aims to improve efficiency, encourage collaboration, and create more opportunities for production, distribution, and export.
The developers have also promised that the project will consider sustainability. They will focus on efficient resource use, waste reduction, recycling, and working with local communities.
These actions will promote responsible industrial development and encourage sustainable production practices in the industrial ecosystem.
The groundbreaking on 12 November will mark a new phase for the park. Stakeholders are hopeful about its potential to attract further investment, boost manufacturing, and stimulate growth along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway corridor.
Once completed, the Lee Group First Industrial Park is set to support manufacturing growth, job creation, and private investment while strengthening Ogun State’s role in Nigeria’s industrial economy.
