The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has revealed the approved fares for the 2027 Hajj. Pilgrims from the northern and southern parts of Nigeria will need to pay between ₦7.67 million and ₦7.88 million.

In a statement released on Friday in Abuja, NAHCON said the federal government approved these fares after consulting with state pilgrims’ welfare boards and service providers in Saudi Arabia. They also considered current exchange rates and service costs for the pilgrimage.

According to the new plan, pilgrims leaving from Maiduguri and Yola will pay ₦7,560,822. Those from the northern zone will pay ₦7,672,822 while pilgrims from the southern zone will have to pay ₦7,882,822.

NAHCON mentioned that intending pilgrims who have already paid ₦5 million must settle the remaining balance to finish their registration. New registrants should make payments through their State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies, or Commissions, or through approved banks under the Hajj Savings Scheme.

Deadline for Biometric Data Upload

The commission has set 26 September 2026 as the final deadline for uploading the biometric data of intending pilgrims on the Saudi-approved Nusuk-Masar digital platform.

States also have until 2 December 2026 to pay all 2027 Hajj fares. NAHCON warned that there will be no extensions. They explained that timely payment is crucial because data synchronization and seat allocation for pilgrims depend on states meeting the payment deadline.
