NDC Unveils Campaign Council for 2027 Elections

The Nigeria Democratic Congress has set up its National Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

They named Senator Henry Dickson as chairman and presidential candidate Peter Obi as co-chairman.

The party shared the news in a statement on its X account on Sunday.

The council will manage campaign activities across the country and gather support for a “new, just, and prosperous Nigeria.”

Senator Cleopas Zuwoghe, the party's National Chairman and vice-presidential candidate, was named vice-chairman. Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso also got the role of co-vice-chairman.

The NDC’s National Secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu, is part of the council’s leadership. Ibrahim Abdulkarim is appointed as council secretary and Director-General.

The party stated that the council will lead and drive a “people-centred and issue-based campaign” as the elections approach.

The NDC called on its members, supporters, and all Nigerians to stay united and focused for the 2027 elections.
