Tinubu Names Keyamo as APC Air Mobilisation Director for 2027 Campaign
President Bola Tinubu has named Festus Keyamo as the Director of Air Mobilisation for the APC's 2027 campaign, overseeing air travel and logistics.

President Bola Tinubu has named Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo as the Director of Air Mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 re-election campaign.
This role puts Mr Keyamo in charge of a team that will handle air travel and aviation logistics for campaign activities across the country.
Tunde Moshood, the minister's special adviser on Media and Communications, shared the news in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) says the APC Presidential Campaign Council is getting ready for Mr Tinubu's re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In this new role, Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), will be the Deputy Director I. Farouk Umar, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), will take on the role of Deputy Director II.
Mr Moshood explained that these appointments show how important air travel and aviation logistics are for a nationwide presidential campaign.
He mentioned that the directorate would oversee air travel, make arrangements for campaign officials and personnel, and assist with activities in Nigeria's six geopolitical zones.
According to him, the directorate will work with other campaign teams to ensure good planning, smooth operations, and proper use of resources.
Mr Moshood said that Mr Keyamo's experience as a serving aviation minister would benefit the campaign's organisation.

He added that Mr Keyamo has worked on policies aimed at making Nigeria's aviation sector stronger and boosting its international reputation, making Nigeria a key player in African aviation.
Mr Moshood noted that Mr Keyamo's knowledge of the industry's needs would help with air-mobilisation planning and create a solid plan for the directorate's activities.
He also said that Ms Kuku and Mr Umar would bring their leadership and technical skills from the aviation sector to the team.
Mr Moshood pointed out that air transportation is crucial for campaign logistics, especially when political leaders and officials have to visit many places quickly.
He said that the directorate would support campaign efforts through careful planning, coordination with stakeholders, efficient scheduling, and suitable logistical arrangements.
But he stressed that the success of the directorate would rely on teamwork with other directorates, clear procedures, and adherence to aviation safety rules and electoral laws.
Mr Moshood emphasized that campaign activities must stay separate from official government duties and be carried out through proper channels.
