The senator for Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Ipinsagba, has asked angry members of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State to accept the results of the party's primary election. He wants everyone to move forward in peace.

The primary election results have caused some unrest in the state. Some party members protested in Akure, the state capital, against the list of candidates for the National Assembly released by the party's National Working Committee. They sent the list to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The protesting members claim that the candidates' list does not match the results from the National Assembly primaries. Ipinsagba released a statement on Sunday urging all party members to put aside their differences and work together as they prepare for the 2027 general election.

He emphasized that the primary results should be a reason for all APC members in Ondo State to come together. They need to unite to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the party's candidates for both the National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly.

Ipinsagba said, "I want to appeal to all our party members across Ondo North Senatorial District and Ondo State in general to close ranks, embrace reconciliation, and work collectively towards securing greater victories for our great party in future elections."

He continued, "We have the presidential, National Assembly and state House of Assembly elections next year. We need to be united to face these elections and achieve victory."

According to him, unity is key to the party's success and for delivering democracy's benefits to the people. Ipinsagba praised President Bola Tinubu for the fairness shown during the APC nomination process. He believes it shows the President's strong commitment to democracy and party unity.

He called on all stakeholders to keep supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He is confident the administration will continue to create policies that will help Nigeria develop, grow economically, and maintain peace.

Ipinsagba also thanked party leaders, delegates, political allies, grassroots mobilizers, youth, women, and the many supporters from the six local government areas in Ondo North for their backing during the recent primary and throughout his time in the Senate.

He promised, "I will continue to remain accessible to my constituents and committed to advancing policies and programmes that will enhance socio-economic development, improve infrastructure, empower the youth and women, and promote the overall welfare of the people of Ondo North."
