Police Find 39 Stolen Cows in Kaduna
Kaduna Police have recovered 39 stolen cows after an attack by cattle thieves in Illa Village. One man was injured during the incident.

The Police Command in Kaduna State has stopped an attack by suspected cattle thieves and recovered 39 stolen cows in Illa Village, Igabi Local Government Area.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, shared this in a statement released on Sunday in Kaduna.
Hassan said that on November 7, around 5:00 a.m., the Divisional Police Officer of Rigachikun Division got a distress call from Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar of Illa Village.
Abubakar reported that at about 4:00 a.m. that same day, a group of armed men attacked the village, stole cows belonging to three Fulani herders, and shot a 25-year-old man named Abubakar in both legs.
"On receiving the report, a combined team of police operatives led by the Officer-in-Charge of Amana Outpost, local vigilantes, and villagers quickly mobilized, chased the suspects into the bush, and engaged them in a gun duel," he said.

Hassan said the thieves later abandoned the 39 stolen cows and ran into the bush with gunshot injuries.
The spokesman mentioned that the injured man was taken to Shika Teaching Hospital, where he was getting treatment, while the recovered cows were returned to their owners.
Hassan added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Rabiu, praised the operatives for their bravery and thanked the community for their support, promising residents that they will continue to fight against cattle rustling and other crimes in the state.
