Three homeless men killed at Lagos bus stop
Three homeless men were killed at the Post Office Bus Stop in Lagos. The attackers arrived on motorbikes and used firearms and machetes.

Three homeless men have been shot dead while they slept at the Post Office Bus Stop on Adeola Odeku Street in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State.
The incident happened on Sunday. Reports say the victims were among about 10 homeless people sleeping at the bus stop when two men on motorbikes arrived and attacked them.
A police source told our correspondent on Monday, asking not to be named, that a worried citizen reported the incident on Sunday morning. This led to an anti-crime patrol team visiting the scene.
"We received a report that three men were found lying lifeless at the Post Office bus stop. Our men were dispatched to the scene, and the officers found the three men lying in pools of blood. We started preliminary enquiries with residents and members of the public," the police source said.
Another local source, who knows about the incident, said the killings were confirmed to be done by two attackers after looking at closed-circuit television footage.
This source, who works near the scene, said the footage showed two men on motorbikes, each carrying a white box. They parked across the road before walking to the bus stop where the homeless people were sleeping.

"The footage showed the attackers checking the faces of those at the bus stop before talking with the victims and shooting them. They also used machetes to injure them in different places," the source revealed.
"One of the victims begged the attackers not to kill him and asked them to settle their differences peacefully. Sadly, he was shot dead," the source added.
Reports also say that the three victims were new to the area. They had just started sleeping at the bus stop with others who were already there.
When reached for comment, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed the incident.
She said, "The bodies were taken away and sent to the Lagos State Government’s Mainland Hospital in Yaba for autopsy. Preliminary investigations are ongoing to find the attackers and identify the victims’ families."
