Governor Uba Sani has given 39 vehicles to Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and various Islamic and Christian groups. This donation aims to support their efforts for peace and ensure free and fair elections in Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole.

The Governor was represented by Malam Tahir Umar Tahir, the Director General of Interfaith. He mentioned that some politicians, worried about losing, are trying to cause unrest before, during, or after the upcoming elections.

He also recalled that the First Aid Group of Fityanul Islam had earlier asked for six buses to help with their peace-building work during their national seminar and award ceremony in August.

Malam Tahir said the Governor agreed to provide four buses to the group. Two buses will go to the national body and two to the Kaduna State chapter.

"The Governor also promised that other Islamic sects and the Boys Brigade of the Christian faith will also benefit from this donation. He said that JNI and CAN in Kaduna State should be included too. He ordered that Hummer buses should be given to each of them. His Excellency also directed that other Islamic groups and branches in CAN should receive vehicles for their religious activities," Tahir said.

The Kaduna State Director General of Interfaith assured that other Christian groups and Islamic sects that did not receive donations this time will be considered later.

Malam Tahir noted that since he became Governor over three years ago, Uba Sani has been working with different religious groups. He collaborates with religious leaders to share the benefits of governance among both faiths. This includes providing free fertilizer and political appointments.

He reminded everyone that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught Muslims to return kindness. If they cannot repay good deeds, they should pray for those who help them.

"In Christianity, believers are told to pray for their leaders. We are asking for your prayers. We urge you to pray for the Governor’s re-election because he will do even more good things in his next term," he promised.

Representatives from the Kaduna State chapters of JNI and CAN expressed their gratitude to the Governor for the donations. They assured him they would pray for ongoing peace and development in the state.
