The Police Command in Delta State, South-south Nigeria, has arrested 10 people for allegedly having illegal drugs.

Bright Edafe, the police spokesperson in Delta State, shared this in a statement from Warri on Sunday.

Mr Edafe, who is a superintendent of police, said the suspects were caught in Abbi Community, Ozoro in Isoko North Local Government Area on Friday.

He mentioned that the group includes three men and seven women.

The police spokesperson explained that the suspects were arrested by the command's Anti-Cult Unit during a raid on a brothel.

Mr Edafe said the raid happened after they got reliable information about a wanted suspect linked to an arson case from August.

He added, "Illicit drugs such as Tramadol, Swinol, Canadian Loud, and weeds, suspected to be marijuana, were recovered during the raid."

He also mentioned that the police are profiling the suspects to find out how involved they are, and those who are guilty will face charges.
