The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has said all its seats for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage are sold out.

Ahmad Umar Labbo, the Director General of the Board, spoke to journalists in his office on Friday. He said the board has officially asked for more seats from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) because many people in the state want to go on the pilgrimage.

Labbo mentioned that the registration portal for passport data capture is closed right now. The Forum of State Hajj Chairmen has made a request to NAHCON to reopen the portal.

He is hopeful that NAHCON will approve the request soon. This will help more intending pilgrims finish their documentation.

In closing, the Director General praised the board's staff for their hard work. He said their efforts have helped make this year’s Hajj operations run smoothly.
