Osun APC Gears Up 10,000 Canvassers for Tinubu's Re-election

The All Progressives Congress in Osun State has gathered 10,000 canvassers to boost support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the 2027 general election.

Osun State APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, shared this on Friday. He said the party is ready to launch the canvassers in Osogbo as part of its plan to mobilise grassroots support across all 30 local government areas in the state.

In a statement on Saturday, Lawal explained that this initiative aims to inform residents about the achievements and policies of the Tinubu administration. The goal is to gain broad backing for the President’s second-term ambition.

He said, “We have mobilised about 10,000 members of our party for door-to-door campaign for President Bola Tinubu to take the good deeds of his administration to the grassroots across the 30 local government areas of Osun State.

“The reforms by the President are pruning the economy and paving ways for strong generational wealth.”

The APC chairman noted that the party’s leadership is leading this effort. They are supported by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, the party’s 2026 Osun governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, and other members of the State Executive Committee.

Lawal added that the APC has set up structures to ensure smooth execution of its campaign plans and to help secure Tinubu’s return for another term.

Speaking about Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who is set to lead the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) for Tinubu’s re-election, Lawal said the APC in the state is willing to collaborate with the governor to achieve their goals.

He mentioned that the party welcomes Adeleke’s choice to support Tinubu’s re-election. He urged the governor to make sure that APC leaders and members are well-represented in the campaign council.

“The leadership of the APC in the state appreciated the resolve of Governor Adeleke to work for the re-election of President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election,” Lawal said.

He also called on the governor to take steps to include important stakeholders, such as APC leaders and members, into the campaign structure, aiming for a shared goal.

Lawal further revealed that the party plans to mobilise voters for its candidates in the National Assembly and the Osun State House of Assembly elections.

He said the meeting also agreed to create a separate campaign council to manage activities for the party’s National Assembly and state assembly candidates.

According to him, APC structures at all levels will be engaged to boost voter mobilisation and other campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party chairman also praised Tompolo for his support of the PBAT door-to-door campaign.
