The Imo State Police have arrested 26-year-old Ifeanyi Joseph. He is accused of pushing 17-year-old Chiamaka Chukwuokore from a two-storey building in Owerri, the state capital, on Sunday.

Henry Okoye, the police spokesperson, confirmed the arrest on Monday. This happened after an angry mob tried to attack Joseph.

Okoye explained that Chiamaka is the younger sister of Joseph's girlfriend. He said there was a fight between Joseph and Chiamaka before he pushed her. She fell from the building and got badly hurt.

Chiamaka was quickly taken to a hospital. She is getting treatment but remains in critical condition.

The incident angered the neighbors, who rushed to confront Joseph. But police arrived in time to save him from being harmed.
