Enugu Air starts Lagos, London flights in December
Enugu Air is set to begin direct flights from Lagos to London Gatwick in December 2026. Bookings are now available through their online site.

Enugu Air has received the green light to start direct flights from Lagos to London Gatwick in December 2026. This is an important step for the airline as it expands internationally.
The state-owned airline also said that bookings for this new route are now open. Passengers can make reservations through its online booking site.
The airline shared this news in a statement on Wednesday. They called the approval a big step in improving air travel between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
This news comes just six weeks after Enugu Air's first international flight to Douala, Cameroon, which took place on 23 September 2026.
According to the statement, the Lagos, London Gatwick route will be managed in partnership with Omni-Blu Aviation (OBA). OBA will serve as the operating partner for this route.
"Enugu Air has received approval for its Lagos, London Gatwick route, with Omni-Blu Aviation (OBA) appointed as the designated operator under a strategic partnership.
"Bookings are now open, and flights will commence in December 2026.

"The approval marks a major milestone in Enugu Air's expansion, strengthening connectivity between Nigeria and the United Kingdom and opening new opportunities for passengers and trade," the statement said.
This milestone shows the vision and leadership of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. His plans for aviation aim to make Enugu a key point for international travel, investment, tourism, and economic growth.
Enugu Air started operations in July 2025 with three Embraer aircraft, including the E170 and E190 series. This was part of the Mbah administration's plan for a modern transport system.
The goal is to make Enugu a leading regional aviation center in West and Central Africa.
Since launching, the airline has grown its fleet and route options. This new approval shows their commitment to expanding international services.
The start of the Lagos, London route will give more travel choices for passengers. It will also strengthen business ties and improve Nigeria's air links with the United Kingdom.
